The Tatami
Room was created from a fascination with using modern day technology to introduce
Japanese items whose origins are firmly rooted in the past. In
doing so, we believe we can whole-heartedly embrace the technological
advances of today without forgetting about the wonders of the past.
Secondly, the
Internet allows us to offer items to people who might not otherwise get
exposure to Japanese cultural items. Anyone, no matter where
they live in the world, in purchasing some of our items, can in a sense
make a trip to Japan without leaving their favorite chair.
